Cinquains

Cinquain poems... Now we have to do some lines.

Welcome back to the blog of poets! How did you like the circle poem lesson?

A cinquain poem is a short, unrhymed (sadly) poem with 22 syllables in 5 lines. The first line has 2 syllables. The next has 4. The next has 6. The next has 8. The last has 2. You do the math.

Here is a cinquain I would like to call school.

It's dull.

It's creepy, too.

It is a jail with kids.

Fs for grades are their best weapon.

It's school.

Yes, people who hate school would actually think like this, now won't they?

So as you can see, I used 5 lines that doesn't rhyme, but there are the exact number of syllables per line. Now that we are doing some lines, here are an easy way to make a poem. First, make an subject. Next, you come up with a lot of words that describe your subject. Finally, line up the subjects to make a poem. It's pretty simple.

Well, I guess that's enough for this poem. Next time, we are going to Japan!
