This time, we'll look at circle poems. But before we start, I just want to ask you: Do you want to be a poet of the blog of poets? Join now, cuz I'm lonely. It's been one month, and no one's joining!
Circle poems don't look like circles. It's just the way it travels. It goes from one subject to another subject. Then that goes to another subject, but the third subject can be nothing like the first subject. For example, lets say we start with computers. Computers can go to windows, since that's what you call the things you look at the screen. Then let's go from windows to houses, since houses have windows. Let's go from houses to ground, since houses stand on the ground. Computers and windows are linked, windows and houses are linked, and houses and ground is linked. But is computers and ground linked? No. This is what a circle poem is. It goes from link to link but the middle and the beginning has nothing to do with each other. But the links have to lead back to what you started with. If you started with computers, you have to end with computers. Here's a circle poem about, um, computers.
